Handmade Hair Bow Templates

For those mommys out there who buy bows for your daughters you know how expensive they can be sometimes...so why not make them yourself!! There are a few websites that carry good information:

Girly Things Bows - there are several tutorials on several types of bows and clippies.
Hip Girl Clips Boutique - a forum with wonderful tutorials, tips, and tricks. I am a member and I love it.

If you are interested in making your own templates you can try this website. She has a tutorial on making templates and she also has a great youtube channel as well. Instead of making them out of cardboard, I made mine out of the plastic cutting sheets as suggested by some of the forum members on HipGirl. I also used a hole punch to pole a hole in the top so that they are easy to hang up. Here they are: (had to take the picture on my cell phone due to flash problems with my camera)

Baseball Wall Letters

Here are some cool wall letters that I painted for my sons room. I just bought his name in some wood letters from Wal-Mart and painted them with an antique white color so they look like used baseballs. Then I used a red paint pen to make the baseball thread design.

Texas Rangers Decoupaged Light Switch Plate

I found a Texas Rangers decal at target and didn't want to put it on my truck so what do I do with it?? I made a light switch plate for my son's room. My brother in law moved out so my son finally has his own room now and I am trying to come up with some great DIY decor. Here is the finished project:

It was pretty easy. I just painted a $0.50 light plate blue and attached the decal as directed on its packaging. I used an exacto knife to cut out the middle and screw holes and then used mod podge to seal it together.
